You see the best part about this election is I really did not like either candidate. I actually dislike Romney more. (I dreaded war with Iran would be more likely with him and do not trust the Mormon faith.) Therefore, while Romney people were crying in depression and Obama people we shouting in bliss I sat and wrote:
I wrote a statement tied to a thought about the important parts of life to th
is girl who I think is beautiful. (I often write, if she reads it not sure, but my trepidation hold me to only that at least on this day.) In my little note written on a small piece of paper from my orange notebook, I stated that she was beautiful and that that is a far more important thought to concern oneself with despite the election outcome that other may be in agony or euphoria over. I stated that I do not think it would matter who won this election for I personally think this country is slowly falling down a deep hole that we as a nation need to climb out of and the ways to climb out of this said hole, all of the groups do not want to come to grips with. (Yes I am including them all, Republican, Democrat, Libertarian and so forth.) So therefore whoever is President will not combat our downfall and until he gets his head out of the sand and the lemmings who mindlessly follow either party split away before falling of the impending cliff and say at last lets solve this.
Oh my goodness gracious, LORD.
True, I am pessimistic in regards to the future of the United States. I may even write my thoughts out to be read by others. And in my writing I would say to myself, I am but just one man so what would it matter. Those thoughts only reminds me of Paul and how God chose him to spread the truth. Yet, I am not a Paul and I do not have some message like that to proclaim. However, I was given a mind and so no matter what one may say I should learn to express it. To move past my tangent, I may be pessimistic but there are more to life then those things.
You see I stated that even if this nation falls apart into a shamble of disarray there is something more. Yes, Life is not an easy journey at time but if we as humans cannot find the joy and the thoughts in the simple things then what is our hope, our faith, our existence worth. So I and we must say the words to one in adoration, you are beautiful. We must find the love in music. We must proclaim to people in different arrays of context the simple statement of I love you. Helping other others with no desire for gain only to exemplify the kindness of Christ. Find joy in a happy complexion in passing. We must sing for no reason other than to express our voice no matter how bad it may sound. We all can find the glory in the creation before us. We must love our minds and all the various thoughts in imagination and reality we may have. We can delight in the learning about all of the subjects that grasp our mind and thus the teaching of others. We can be thankful for our faith of which I am blessed to have been given. We can enjoy and cherish the times of quiet just only thinking, ah life is really blessed and good. And even if we just smile as we walk this journey despite the disorder of the world around us and our observations and thoughts therefore in my and I know others mind running around each other like a frenzy of mad locusts…
…these are the things that should be more important in our everyday walk in life than ten minutes of depression, hate, arrogance or joy due to an election. So I found the joy in proclaiming you are beautiful in the written form to someone that night followed by a simple quiet walk home thanking God for just my own existence and how joy can be found even in chaos and disarray.
Ah contemplation of the mind are that which I am thankful for.
